| What is Polycarbonate (LEXAN) A thermoplastic polymer resin that
is linear polyester of carbonic acid. Polycarbonate is a
transparent, nontoxic, non-corrosive, heat resistant, high impact
strength plastic. It can be molded, extruded, or thermoformed,
and is commonly used for numerous applications, such as
non-breakable windows, sunglasses, work goggles, household
appliances, tubing, piping, and cartridge filter sumps.
What is Glycol-Modified Polyethylene Terephthalate (PETG)
A copolyester that is a clear amorphous thermoplastic
sheet used in engineering
applications. It offers the capability to produce complex
shapes, precise details, deep draws and compound curves without
worrying about durability. It's easily formed, die-cut and
punched. It brings increased design freedom and lower
fabrication costs. It has the impact strength and
fabrication ease that acrylic can't touch, with the durability
to significantly reduce packaging and shipping costs. It
has many advantages of polycarbonate but with a lower cost.
Just because a product says made with PETG doesn't mean that
they are the same. PETG comes from a variety of
manufactures and can have widely different tolerances. We
use only the strongest PETG plastic. We've test cut PETG
from many manufactures and settled on the one with the most
strength a durability.
Who is Orbit Pinball (Frank Gant)
I'm a one man show. I'm located in Edmond, Oklahoma and
run Orbit Pinball out of our home. I started making
plastics protectors solely because I was tired of breaking
plastics myself. I had tried washers, both metal and
plastic to protect the corners of my plastics, but that was
never good enough. No matter how large the washer, my
plastics still got broken. Most of this is because the
washers didn't protect the plastics behind targets, pop bumpers,
and on corners where there were no posts. So I set out to
make something for myself to correct these problems. It
didn't take me long to figure out others could benefit from
these protectors.
Commitment To My Customers
I am 100% committed to my customers
satisfaction. I will do my best to insure that every customers
experience with Orbit Pinball is as good as it can possibly be.
